Professional Procedures
1. Admissions and Intake
1.1 Initial Contact
Staff will respond promptly to inquiries from potential clients, providing an overview of services and addressing any questions.
1.2 Intake Assessment
Clients will undergo an intake assessment to evaluate their individual needs, including a review of their history, goals, and current challenges related to recovery.
1.3 Informed Consent
Clients will receive information about services, confidentiality, and their rights, and must sign an informed consent form prior to receiving services.
2. Service Provision
2.1 Individualized Service Plans
Staff will develop an individualized service plan tailored to the client's needs and preferences based on the intake assessment, subject to client approval.
2.2 Peer Support Sessions
• Services will include regular peer support sessions, conducted either one-on-one or in group settings, scheduled according to the client’s availability and preference.
2.3 Goal Setting and Progress Tracking
Staff will assist clients in setting achievable goals during peer support sessions and will regularly track progress, adjusting the service plan as necessary.
3. Record Keeping
3.1 Documentation
Staff will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all client interactions, including assessments, service plans, session notes, and correspondence.
3.2 Confidentiality of Records
All client records will be stored securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations, with access limited to authorized personnel only.
3.3 Record Retention
Client records will be retained for a minimum of seven years following the last date of service.
4. Staff Training and Development
4.1 Orientation
New staff and volunteers will receive orientation training covering ethical practices, HIPAA compliance, and organizational policies.
